Grandparents Week

This past week was a full one.  We started out with Grandma Potter and Great Grandma Heldreth arriving Sunday the 15th...
We had a brief visit from Grandpap and Nana Ross...

A little hang out time with cousin Caleb...
Then rounded out the week with a couple of days with Grandpa Potter too!
I'm not sure how it happened, but we didn't seem to take enough pictures!

First Big Boy Bath

Dominic experienced his first big boy bath today. We got him the inflatible duck tub from Target and filled it with sudsy water... let's just say it was his longest bath yet! The bill of the duck also quacks when you squeeze it. Lucia was jealous and spent half the bath over my shoulder with her feet hanging over the actual tub. As you can imagine, I had to "nudge" her a couple of times with my elbow to keep her and her claws away from the duck tub.
Dominic was smiling through his shivers, splashing up a storm and wasn't ready to get out!
Bathing Dominic will be more fun when I don't have to do the dishes first any more!

Steelers Baby!

You know that Super Bowl XIII was a big one in our house. Dominic enjoyed watching it with his family and his friend Micayla.

They forgot about the game for a little bit...
Oh, there's a big TV up there!
Being a champion is exhausting!

BreakThru!

Dominic had a great time at BreakThru this year! Where else can a boy have 300 admiring fans who like to hang out and play around the clock?
He spent a lot of time with Bobby...

And Alex...
Steve...
MOM!
It's exhausting!

Teeth!

I stuck my finger in Dominic's mouth tonight to show Mechelle how "ready" Dominic's teeth were to come through the skin and there they were... two little razors on the bottom jaw!  They're barely visible, but don't let him bite you... they're definitely there!!!

We Love New Toys!

Mollie and Dominic hanging out in the Youth Center!

Dominic was dreaming of the Super Bowl to come... I'm open Ben!
He loves driving his new car toy from Christmas!
Watch out, he's shifting gears!
Grandma Potter scored big with the little rescue vehicles!

December with Dominic

Dominic rolled right into the month of December...at least he rolled over in the living room! Watch this video... you can hear Steve, Brian and I cheering him on in the background.

Dominic and Lucia are great friends. I love to see them playing together.

Then we traveled to Iowa for Christmas with family... what a great trip.
First I was hanging out with Aunt Dream...
Then Aunt Melissa...
Then I had some carrots and read a book with Nana Ross...
Stephanie taught me all of her tricks...
Grandma Potter eased my hurting gums with a frozen green bean...
I hung out with my cousin Jonathan...
And I left Iowa trying to be a twin to Grandpa Potter!

November in the Ross House

Dominic is eating rice cereal now so we've graduated from mom's lap to the high chair.  I don't know what is more exciting for him... eating from a spoon or seeing his own reflection in the tray.
One thing is for sure, this boy loves his daddy!  This is Dominic hanging out in my office with his favorite person!
Daddy came to pick him up after work and neither of them could stop grinning.
Then came Thanksgiving Day...I think Dominic's onesie says it all.  :)
I guess turkey day must have done him some good because two days later, he was sitting up all by himself!

Baptism Weekend: October 26th

Dominic had visits from friends and family this week... Mindy, Grandma and Grandpa Potter, Aunt Melissa and Grammy Aiello came for his baptism. It was a very sweet service all the way around.

Dominic decided that he was more excited about getting his hands on Cary's microphone than what the Holy Spirit was doing in his life. Someday he'll understand. :)

After all of it he was very excited to be hanging out on mom's shoulder...

and with Mindy, but not so much the pea pod.  He thought we were a little over the top with that one.

Exersaucer Exhausted

There's exhausted, and then there's exersaucer exhausted... Dominic is finally big enough that his feet touch the bottom but his bottom doesn't quite fill the seat!  It's hard having so much excitement at once.  I think he lasted a grand total of five minutes before his eyes slammed shut with a toy in his hand.

Big Enough for the Bumbo!

Dominic can finally sit straight up in the Bumbo chair... that is when he's not ready to fall into bed!
We still really like the swing though...
And Mom's shoulder!
Sometimes I like to sit in my own chair in the living room...
But then again, Dad's arms are always a great place to end up!
